Well I guess AX Registration is now up with it's minor kinks.  I was playing with it earlier a few days ago and had all these minor problems.  The deadline for the 45 buck price is ending today Dec. 31 so uh work quickly on it.  After midnight it'll be 50 bucks.

1.  My memory of things that I've learned is pretty bad, japanese and chinese is slowly deteriorating, and my math skills is nonexistent.  I even forgot how SOHCAHTOA worked a while back.  I'd hate to face my teachers in high school now.

2.  But stories ppl tell me about themselves and whatnot I've remembered it quite quite well.

3.  I usually hate spicy food, but I have no problems with it being spicy when it calls for it in noodle soup form, cause I LOVE noodle soups.

4.  I dislike salads, especially seeing dressing makes me wanna gag.  I'm a soup person.

5.  Why are two facts about food I'd like to know why myself.  Oh and I hate veggies unless they're in soup form.

6.  I draw like once every few months and if it doesn't come out the way I like it, I end up not drawing for longer periods.

7.  When I draw pictures for others, they come out surprisingly better than if I drew it for myself.

8.  Oh my dog Nana died on my birthday this year, which I was unaware of cause I was on an airplane at the time.  You'll always be my favorite dog!

So now that midterms are over and I don't have a lab report due this Saturday, this moment in time I'm literally confuzzled as to "what to do" to pass the time today o_O  My b/f suggested I draw a picture of my friend for her cause she's always wanted that it seems.  So yeah if anyone I personally know or made an effort to chat with me wants a a manga version of themselves should request it sometime before 2pm tomorrow, so I can draw it quickly and have it up.  Or if you don't mind waiting indefinitely you can ask whenever.  Just send me a picture or refer me to a link.  Or if you want one anyway and I don't know you and you don't mind waiting for winter break to start I can consider that to work as well.  Just to say though it'll probably just look like the photo (same angle) but non-realistic.  This way I can practice with more references and you get a free picture.

AX - Well I've been dragged to meetings lately.  But yeah AX registration should be SUPER better than ever cause we're spending a ton more money on a much better system with a really really good company.  AX just simply has way too many attendees that really outnumbered the current system of previous years, so we're doing our best to make it MUCH MUCH better for 2008.  Registration won't be up for a while but soon, really.  Here's a link about this new system actually: [link]

Also WE NEED STAFFERS! XD  So if you spend time at AX bored out of your wits for certain periods or like to understand how we work, and we're just volunteers wanting to make the con run smoothly, you should try out a year as a staffer XD  There's some benefits which I'm not sure if I'm allowed to say, depending if they change anything this coming year.  But they're pretty good, also you can make new friends with similar interests like you.  Just send a resume and go through an interview process (which isn't a scary experience at all).  We just want to make sure we have dependable hardworking staff that won't flake on us last minute when it's most vital.  Registration will be better so apply to my department XD if you'd like to of course.

The following is not an official statement from AX and just my own opinion:

So my staff work is finally over.  The new system seemed to benefited pre-reg more because a larger amount of computers devoted to them.  Less were for At-con this year because of complaints last year, so Preregister ALWAYS!  I hope we dont' get too many complaints about At-con, because there are actually other conventions that punish it by devoting only TWO computers.  Other than the HORRIBLE miscommunication on Friday, all the following days went pretty well.  From just day zero within the 6 hours we had around 9000 so that's around 25 ppl per minute!  So that was a great start, let's PRAY the badge cardstock design is settled early so we can actually mail it out WAY sooner for next year.  This year mailing didn't work out because of another mishap that was beyond our control (why does this always happen).  I hope we have more staffers for registration because most of the squads came in with no shows and so we were actually understaffed and had to cover more hours for it.

I'm just kinda sick of all the hate in the forums for our division head guy who worked the hardest and longest than anyone, and if it wasn't for him registration would have been as crappy as it was before 2006 (last year he took over).  LBCC staffers are NOT part of our staff, and we staffers also had MANY problems with them.  We're sorry we had to use them, and were unable to control the ridiculous prices for food.  It was hot, the waiting was ridiculous, we all could have just ran on in an hour or less before the concert started and it would have been fine.  Let's hope next year this will be possibly eliminated (bring up some suggestions in the forums), if not at least we'll have air conditioning for waiting.  I just wish we were able to tell attendees why certain things weren't running on schedule but we're forced to shut up, be professional and apologize for the inconvenience even when sometimes it's not our fault.  But it seems overall the Guest of honors seemed to enjoy their stay and wish to return.  I'm just so surprised we had so many concerts and even mini events as well this year.  I keep hearing mixed reviews about how Artist alley was run this year, but hey it's not my division so I have NO idea how things go and why.  I kinda wish attendees didn't assume all staffers know everything cause we don't.  It's worse to give you wrong info (like during reg lines) then just blatantly saying I don't know.  We had quite a few bad apples in staff as a whole so I hope it gets resolved.  We never seem to have enough staffers so we try with what we have.  Thanks volunteers for your hard work~ we had some great helpers in reg hall.

XD  Ah after trying to plan this trip for a year it's finally gonna occur.  Leaving on Jan 1st sadly >_<; (wanted to see the New Year matsuri) *sighs*  I'll be going with my b/f and friend.  Going for 5 days though only 3 full days >_<; Too short~  Then two days after returning, Winter Quarter starts = ARGH.  Oh well...  *will study japanese on the plane ride*  Hope everyone is having a good vacation!

Well I remember offering it to anyone that wanted to do it a month ago, and me being bored I'll just do it now lol.

6 Weird Things:

1) I can drive, but hate driving, requires too much brainwork for me I rather sit in a car and think or sleep.  One time while driving someone made a dangerous move in front of me and I was like "stupid teenage drivers" then I look at my mom next to me and go "Do I STILL have to drive?" and she just gives me the 'oh shut up and drive you' look.

2) I dislike spicy foods, well Thai food doesn't really count, but I avoid making my food spicy.  But I LOVE spicy instant noodles for some reason which is usually spicier than all the other spicy food I avoid.

3) I HATE not doing my daily things on the internet, cause if I have to avoid the net because of midterms coming up, I'll complain about the backlog of stuff I have to read/look at (like DA from artists that just can't stop drawing).  I could just NOT do it anymore but that just doesn't feel right ... (Internet obsessed I know)

4) When I do have free time to draw, I feel like studying.  But when I have to study, my brain thinks up new ideas that I want to draw.  This sucks~

5) I can't help but make short jokes to short ppl, like , course I'm only teasing/playing with them.  I don't trust tall ppl lately lol they end up going crazy on me later for some reason.

6) I always seem to dream lately, like every single night and even in my 1 hour naps I end up dreaming about something (I heard it takes about 6 hours to get a dream?).  And usually the dream is SOOO bizaare I wake up and go "wth was that??"  But I end up forgetting what happened like 30 seconds after I wake up lol.

Well Winter Quarter at UCLA finally ended two days ago >_< Man I hate finals, Chem is just evil, ESPECIALLY Chem LAB.  Japanese is always a great class, and after summer school >_<; can't believe I'm taking courses in the summer ... I should be somewhat fluent in japanese XD  Then the following years I'll be taking Mandarin.  I'm SICK of dining halls >_< It's like going to hometown buffet like EVERY DAY.  Though I love jello... and sandwiches, especially the Bruin sub, dunno why but it leaves my b/f amazed that I haven't gotten sick of eating the SAME type of sandwich repeatedly.

Funny thing was yesterday, during my journey to get home from UCLA after being away for 5 weeks, while me and my b/f were hopping off the bus to get on the subway, we saw a line of people in front of us.  They were dressed in lots of black, with makeup and some with colored hair, with blankets and camping out outside for some event.  My b/f looks at the sign and goes "Do you know who Dir en grey is?"  At first I was like "no .. uh wait Dir en grey??" lol  It's just interesting to see ppl line up at around 11AM and waiting for a concert that starts at 8PM.  Well I've only heard 3 songs by them and know very little about the Jrock group, other than they're visual kei I guess...

Then we were on our way to Little Tokyo for Shabu Shabu XD  Always good to eat I can never get sick of it XD  I've been like homesick for home cooking, and miss eating rice for some reason (maybe growing up eating asian food does that).  So after my first experience cooking japanese rice (my b/f seems to love and bought) I've discovered this really weird clear .. plastickyish like thing that forms on the outside part of the rice.  Does anyone seem to know what this is? o_O  Well I've noticed it in my rice at the Shabu place so it's nice to know it's just in japanese rice and not the way I prepared the rice lol.  Dad tells me that my family normally uses viet or thai rice so it was an interesting experience for someone like me.  Can't believe I'm talking about rice but hey im' bored.  My b/f makes a good housewife btw.

Been watchign LOTS of Jdoramas XD Always so entertaining and interesting, here's the list: Gokusen, Gokusen 2, Nobuta wo Produce, Hana Yori Dango, Kimi wa Petto, 1 Liter of Tears, and NANA (yes it's a movie).  It was definitely a great movie XD  Fun to make comparisons to the manga.  Though I couldnt' help but think Ren should be taller and Mika playing Nana should sing with more .. umpf?  Iono maybe I'm just use to ppl yelling when they're singing, while I do feel Mika usually sings with a super soft voice in her other songs.  Buying Dramas eat my money though >_< *dies from being poor*

Last Random thing: my art.  I took my comic class and have learned SOO much.  Those that take the comic class with Christian Hill at CSF I'm envious lol he's a great teacher.  Hope he makes it somewhere with one of his works.  So it really has motivated me to draw well, I did somewhat get my rough drafts for my 3 page manga though I'm stuck at home currently without my tablet >_<;  So I'll be drawing stuff by hand which I feel I am improving finally.  Lots of thanks to for always helping me out XD  You suck you talented person you!!  So now during my 1.5 weeks of spring break I'll be reading Nana scanlations and drawing random mini pages for our collab work XD I hope ...  Drawing anything is good for me anyway lol.  I'll put my 3 pages up whenever I get it done.  First page is almost done anyway.

Gosh dangit why won't they just FREAKING stop?? ^_~  I know I'm not the only one that has this problem but ^_~ it sure bugs when it's the same stalker OVER AND OVER again.  Harrasses me online somehow by hacking my friends' computers, taking over email accounts, impersonation and everything.  Then his stupidass girlfriend goes on my friend's SN that his goons hacked for him, and then asks me to draw hentai art of my characters??? WTH!  He freaking steals my characters and her being stupid, she believes he's the artist cause he "claims" it.  Freaking calls me a fanart artist of his characters, I'm pretty damn insulted since I'm not a damn fanartist of my OWN characters.  Then she claims that I stole all of his artwork wth??  *mumbles*  Now I don't know if I want to put up artwork anymore since that damn stalker will just steal them and enter it into contests like he did already to  the other ones ^_~

Yep this is my last weekend before finals *mumbles about its crappiness*  So yeah I'm gonna be suffering this week coming up >.<;  Anyway.. uploaded my Matsuri entry for AX today finally, why?  Not sure I just wanted to get the winners announced on AX site but that takes forever o.O so yeah now it's up.  Hope everyone likes it XD Bye!

YAY! After spending so many days >.<; while doing hw on and off, I FINALLY finished coloring the chibis.  I wonder if I'll have time to draw anything since I still have hw to do *stupid teachers love to give winterbreak hw*  Let's see my webcomic won't be up any time soon since I'm still designing characters and clothing while I wait for my friend to get part of the story typed up.  Oh well just gives me time to plan ^^ Cya soon I hope! Well next picture that's ^_~ on my mental list is now a picture of Alphonse and a kitty for my friend Urdie-san >.<; *hopes it won't be too hard*  And I'm getting close to being sick of seeing my work so much in gray >.<; this happens whenever I go through a ton of shading and I do it when I'm feeling icky (especially since it took about 3 days to get the shading done since I got too lazy to do it)  But I don't have enough experience in using colorpencils (that I don't want to ruin my picture) and my computer is quite low in ram to CG using photoshop (RAM EATER - I hate LAG!!!) >.<; I'll think about it I guess...

Let's see o.O finally put up this picture (though it's already on my site).  I have like two mangas right now going through my head o.O well I think she's gonna be in the shoujo one, while the other manga will be a shounen one cause there's gonna be action and fighting (yay!).  Let's hope I make the mangas someday ^_^; LOL

Hehe so happy I finally got Hiwatari finished and uploaded, along with the Giftart.  I had a pretty bad handcramp cleaning up the lineart ^_~  Though the handcramp was trivial compared to the handcramps I get from doing Oekakis ^_~;  I wonder if I should CG the picture in color someday.  I'll shade the actual picture to give it to Jenn o.O since Sis seems to like my shading more than my attempted black and white manga look ^_~ oh well you can't please everyone.

Dad asked me if I wanted to go driving again and I was like my right leg hurts ^_~ and I don't want to drive if I'm not sure if I can control the pedals if my calf muscle acts up again.  I think I blocked weird or something during the sparring match at my Kenpo class.  So late last night I could not walk well at all >.< still sore now a bit this morning but it doesn't feel as painful in comparison to last night.  Oh well, back to studying for SAT fun ^_~

Today is the day I had to practice driving >.<; cause I suck... *coughs* at least I got to choose to do it today instead of random spur of the moment parents.  Though dad was like worried since I was like sleepy when I woke up ^_~; *sleeps late* and he's like "you know there are drivers out there that just woke up, and you're aren't good either" but I pretty much said it conflicted with my usual plans of studying ^_~; so off I went with mom, we drove around the park place, I somehow got better at turning o.O; then after about 3 times around instead of 5+ like a week ago, we then drove to my uncle's house to pick up something o.o;; boy was I like nervous.  I better be careful next time I go by those school crossings ^_~; cause sometimes mom's like just go since no one's around and other times it's like slow down.  *is bad* >.<; and I seem to hate ppl that don't signal what they're doing all of a sudden.  So I pretty much have to learn to be even more cautious.  I seem to have survived and not get in a car accident or get my legs sheared off as the result ^_~; *coughs* Sis likes to scare me... though she's one of those aggressive drivers on the road anyway...  Anyone have a scary car experience?  Though I'm betting no one really reads this... oh well >.<; *talks to herself*  Back to studying SAT and Vocab, then time on Hiwatari yay! Since final lineart is done so CG time after I clean it up.

^_~ So boring… studying for SAT to get into a good college ... Anyway, sticking in drawing time for Hiwatari from DNAngel, working on the final lineart, then I'll clean it up and CG it black and white for a more manga look *thinks it might be interesting*.  I'll put up on here soon whenever I finish.  Uploading so many pictures at once can really take a lot out of you >.<; well especially since it was 1 in the morning when I did it lol.
